What You Get To Do:
- Own mechanism design from initial concept through build, test, and customer deployment.
 - An opportunity to work on a wide range of engineering problems: electro-mechanical design, fluid systems, test and validation, and electrical thermal management design.

What You Will Need:
- B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
 - Background (experience, portfolio, side projects, coursework) in physical prototyping, mechanism design and misc. mechanical engineering projects
 - Experience with CAD tools (NX preferred)
 - Hands-on experience with machining, fabrication methods and rapid prototyping
 - Exposure to robotics or embedded systems a strong plus

What You Get To Do:
- Travel to fishing docks across the US (approximately 50% travel) and potentially internationally for long-term assignments
 - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot our robotic fish processing systems on-site
 - Work with electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
 - Build and repair harnessing, ensuring robust electrical connections and system functionality
 - Utilize Command line interface (CLI) and Graphical user interfaces (GUI) tools to interact with robotic systems
 - Operate power tools and standard industrial manufacturing machinery safely and effectively
 - Collaborate with the engineering team to improve system designs based on field feedback
 - All aspects of live fish handling, from the water to a packing facility. Building, operation, and maintenance of live fish storage infrastructure
 - Opportunity to work closely with users (Fisherman) for extended periods of time, and communicate learnings to engineering teams

What You Will Need:
- A strong excitement about weekly travel to US fishing ports for hands-on engineering
 - 1+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies; 3+ years desired
 - High proficiency with power tools and standard industrial manufacturing machinery

This role offers hands-on experience in the development, prototyping, and testing of robotic systems deployed in a marine environment and tailored for the seafood industry. This role is open to new grads as an Associate Engineer role where you have the potential opportunity to earn a full-time position at the end of your internship.

What You Get To Do:
- As the Office Manager at Shinkei Systems HQ, you’ll be the air traffic controller for our fast-growing El Segundo office. You’ll own the day-to-day onsite operations that keep our team running smoothly- from vendor coordination and facilities management to event planning and office upkeep. You’ll serve as the central point of contact, ensuring issues are resolved quickly, the workspace is safe and welcoming, and all team members have the operational support they need to succeed.
 
Operations & Administration
- Act as the central coordinator for office operations, resolving daily issues and implementing long-term process improvements.
 - Manage office systems and accounts (utilities, janitorial, IT/security, deliveries, contractors, building management, and neighbor relations).
 - Handle all mail, package scanning, and notifications (including company mailboxes and secure payment depositing).
 - Track and report on monthly office expenses (supplies, food, facilities) to optimize budgets.
 - Maintain and replenish office supplies, PPE, groceries, and company electronics.
 - Support onboarding of new hires with device setup, access points, and account creation.
 
Facilities & Workplace Experience
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
 - Oversee disposal and recycling processes, including organic fish waste, trash, pallets, and bulk pickups.
 - Manage kitchen operations, groceries, and consumables to ensure a stocked and functional workspace.
 - Plan and execute team lunches, happy hours, quarterly company events, and onsite activities.
 
Executive & Visitor Support
- Partner with the C-Suite to prepare for investor, media, and recruiting visits.
 - Ensure visitors sign NDAs, comply with office policies, and maintain a secure NDA database.
 - Act as point of contact for external vendors, contractors, and building management.
 - Provide logistical support for cross-departmental rollouts (compliance trainings, handbook updates, holiday schedules).
 
What You Will Need:
- 3+ years of experience in office management, operations, or administrative coordination (startup or high-growth environment strongly preferred).
 - Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
 - High attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.
 - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface across all levels—executives, employees, and external partners.

 - Proven ability to design and implement core People programs (recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and promotions)
